I downloaded Scrivenar for Windows three days back. I'm still trying to figure it all out, but I like what I see so far. Whether or not I'll continue liking it, is another story. :)

Ah, sweetie. I hate reading short stories, but I have found that I enjoy writing them. Who knows, it could be the same for you! Just food for thought!

I know what you mean . . .

I've got a ton of books in my library that are collections of short stories, and the only one I've really read is a collection by Mercedes Lackey (though, it's really, really good). Sometimes you just don't wanna go there . . . but as a writer, sometimes it's necessary.

And challenging. ZOMG, some of the best writing comes from short stories . . . compressing as much info as you can in such a tiny space. I'm not used to that. Sometimes it jump-starts me . . . gets me to figure out ways to get to the point quicker in my regular writing.

But yah, do it. Short stories are perfect when it comes to soliciting feedback, too. The attention span of the internet is fleeting, after all.

Heh, this one I had.
Wanted to write a story that almost fits an A4 page.
Ended up being 4 "chapters" long, one page each and I was happy.
And then I realised I like the char, the twists I managed to bring right before the end of each page, and wanted to let the char loose in the setting and let him do as he pleases, while I nom popcorn and watch things unfold.
The next chapter is unfinished even after several pages.
I'm just unsuitable for short stories.
Rooting for you ofc, you are not me :P
