Spring? More like summer here in Cyprus already!

The spring has arrived! I’m not sure how it happens, but suddenly the air smells of spring. In Russia it is visible because finally the snow would melt and not fall again and the small flowers would bloom in the grass next to the buildings – there the air smells of greenery. In Cyprus though it is always green and blooming and yet that unmistakable smell of spring permeates everything. Everything feels more alive and cheerful; the day becomes an hour longer. Finally I can still see the sun in the sky when I’m leaving from work. And maybe that is all that there is to it, but I like to believe in the extraordinary and so spring is a special time of year – not too hot and not cold either, it is perfect.

Update: Updating the updates

Woohoo it looks like I’m on a ‘regular’ streak with the updating. Perhaps I am finally back on track? We shall have to see how long this lasts – I hope forever!

Update: Origin

I still haven’t decided whether the four chapter piece will stay the way it is. Maybe it will or maybe it won’t. I’m going to set this aside for a while and work on other things – I quite like it the way it is at the moment, it even feels ‘finished’ to me, so I’m going to focus on something else and perhaps the answer is going to pop out and scream at me out of the blue just like it usually tends to do!

Update: UNKNOWN – is still unknown I was playing around with the names for my heroine. In one of the chapters her new acquaintance suggests for her a temporary name because of her singing:

“If I’m going to travel with you, I’ll have to call you something. How about Aria? Or Arianna?”

After that I had a sudden jolt with a future scene so was urgently writing it down. It may be the end of this novel or used as the beginning to the sequel. And yes I never intend to write a stand alone novel, I’m always suddenly seeing sequels for them!

Update: Miguel – uhhmm ohh No, haven’t really worked on that for a while but had some ideas that I had written down, some chapters that I have outlined… that’s about it.

One of these days I am going to pick a ‘main’ project and potter away at it every day and then when I get glimpses for other stuff just outline it and continue my one project freeway… one day.

About Lucia

Lucia was born in Russia quite a while back. She moved to UK a few years after and studied her way through school, college and university. She currently plans to retire and settle down with her favourite friends: pen and paper (although now its a lot more like computer and keyboard).
